Where does the time go!  Apologies to those of you who have visited the site to see updates, I have been lapse and have made a note to myself to do better!!

Celtic and Iceni are still as wonderful as ever and love all the freedom of living on a lifestyle block.  Unfortunately, Iceni caught a very bad ear infection after swimming through some stagnant water, earlier in the year.  This and the antibiotics she was prescribed knocked her about quite badly, but she is all mended now and hopefully this won’t happen again. Iceni continues to be a little minx and full of mischief yet is a very loving and faithful, and my beautiful girl. Celtic is my boy, he is regal and gentle and has the most wonderful soulful eyes and is happy to be wherever the family is.

Through the summer, they enjoyed quite a few trips to the river, sea and lakes to partake in their favourite pastime (next to eating and sleeping) - swimming, but this had to be halted when Iceni got bad ears.

Well life is as busy as ever with all the animals, sadly we lost another two Angora goats just after shearing, Mabel and Esmerelda.  As all my goats have either been given to me or I have bought them because they needed a new home, I am unsure of their ages, so it may have been down to old age.

We ended up with over 100 turkey eggs and had 34 successful hatchings and now have over 30 turkeys still with us.

We have three new additions, Roger the Dorset Horn Ram, Rabsee and Nesbit the two steers (check out their pictures in the gallery).

We are busy preparing for winter and sad as I am, I am hoping for a good amount of snow so that I can get some terrific pictures of my Leos!!!

Well that’s about all for now.  Keep coming back often and I hope to update more regularly from now on.

09/11/09 "Well life has certainly been busy!!!  Sadly we did not get a successful mating and will have to try again in February 2010 for pups :(.

We lost 4 of our Angora Goats - Archie, Daisy, Nellie and Dolly, during the winter and Obediah our wonderful male turkey.  It is not all doom and gloom, as we have added 2 roosters and 5 pullets to our animals.  They are Light Sussex chickens and are very handsome and pretty birds!!  We also added Peggy Sue a female bronze turkey and two male turkeys - Ebenezer (white)and Aldrich (bronze) to our ever growing brood and are now busy waiting on about 60 eggs to see how many little chicks. As at today, we have three hatched! Keep checking back for updates and new pictures.
